Account Types

The Natixis Canada Funds are designed specifically for registered (non-taxable) or non-registered (taxable) accounts. The Registered Funds are intended to be purchased only in registered accounts while the Tax Class Funds are intended only for taxable accounts.

Purchase Options

Series A, Series A (Hedged) and Series H – Front End Load Option (FE)

If you purchase under the FE load option, you will pay the applicable net asset value per security plus a sales charge between 0% and 5% of the purchase price. The sales charge is negotiated with your financial advisor and is payable at the time of purchase.

  • Series A and Series H (Hedged) – for investments greater than $5,000
  • Series H – for investments greater than $250,000

Series A and Series A (Hedged) – Deferred Sales Charge Option (DSC)

If you purchase under the DSC option, no commission is paid by you at the time of purchase, but you will pay a redemption charge if the securities are redeemed within seven years from the time of purchase (please see table below). The redemption charge is calculated as a percentage of the market value of the securities being sold at the time of the redemption. You may sell up to 10% of the value of your fund in each calendar year without paying a redemption charge. Unused amounts cannot be carried forward to future years.

Series A and Series A (Hedged) – Low Load Option (LL)

If you purchase under the LL option, no commission is paid by you at the time of purchase, but you will pay a redemption charge if the securities are redeemed within three years from the time of purchase (please see table below). The redemption charge is calculated as a percentage of the market value of the securities being sold at the time of the redemption.

Series F, Series F (Hedged) and Series HF

The securities of these series are available to investors who participate in a fee-for-service or wrap account program offered through their dealer, which has entered into an Series F agreement with Natixis Canada. No commission is payable at the time of purchase and no trailing commission is payable by Natixis Canada to your dealer in respect of the investment. As a result, a lower management fee is payable to the Manager by the Fund.

  • Series F and Series F (Hedged) – for investments greater than $5,000
  • Series HF – for investments greater than $250,000

Optional Services

Natixis Canada offers the following services which you can add to your accounts.

Pre-Authorized Chequing (PAC) Plan

You may establish a pre-authorized chequing plan with us to make purchases on a periodic basis. The purchases will automatically be debited from your bank account. The minimum purchase amount for a PAC is $100 and you may choose to make purchases twice monthly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. You may change the amount or timing of your PAC at any time provided we receive a minimum of 30 days prior notice.

Systematic Withdrawal Plan (SWP)

You can set up a systematic withdrawal plan with us to make withdrawals from your account on a periodic basis. The minimum investment required for a SWP is $10,000 and you may choose to make withdrawals twice monthly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. The minimum withdrawal amount is $100 per period. You may change the amount or timing of your SWP at any time provided we receive a minimum of 30 days’ prior notice.

Custom Portfolio Service (CPS)

The Custom Portfolio Service allows you to set a specific target allocation among any of the funds you hold in order to create your own customized investment portfolio. The minimum investment required for the CPS is $100,000 and you may choose to rebalance quarterly, semi-annually or annually. In addition, you may determine the automatic rebalancing variance percentage as 3%, 5%, 7% or 10%. We will then automatically rebalance your investment portfolio according to your pre-selected target allocation and rebalancing instructions.
